Beautiful Flamingos at Lake Magadi

Patrick, Samantha, Mary and myself spent the day with a trip to Lake Magadi, one of the places known for spotting Flamingos. Though - you can never be sure to find them.
But we were very lucky today - thousands of Flamingos waited for us, and were very patient till we finally had enough pictures...

We finally found out, why the flamingos have such pinky feet - at least in Lake Magadi the reason is that there are hot springs in the Lake that let your feet boil... we were shown these springs by a Maasai guide whose feet seemed to be immune to the heat...

The community of the Maasai living close to the Lake than made up an instant market place for their beads - as we were the first tourists of the day...
