Amboseli National Park - Day 2

Good morning from Amboseli. Our day started with a beautiful sunrise.

Team Amboseli (from left to right): Mary, Scott, Ulla, Win and Patrick

Picturesque Amboseli

Unfortunately, I don't know bird type, but I reckon it isn't one to be messed with given its predatory beak!

Don't mess with hyenas....they drive lions away and take more than 60% of a lion's kill.

Hungry Hippos

Impalas aka African antelopes

Lots and lots of zebras

A spectacularly beautiful bird (male version)...

....and the female version (ready to take flight!)

Vultures looking out for fresh prey.

When your trunk tires you out, just rest them on your tusks...

Elephant march at the end of the day...

  1. The colourful birds are the lilac breasted rollers (Coracias caudatus caudatus, German Gabelracke). A spectacular coloured bird known in several african countries.
