Brush your mouth, don't leave it smelling :)

As we go through a process of discovery, Kenya as a country is full of pleasant surprises!

In this light , I see some amazing parallels with a country I am quite familiar with, India.

I came across this wonderful news article yesterday and decided to share with the rest! Brush your mouth, don't leave it smelling is what Dickson Ekalale seems to be saying, as a vendor hawks a traditional toothbrush! The picture also shows Dickson Ekalale's teeth, apparently, using the traditional toothbrush! Colgate and the rest watch out!

This appeared in The Standard, Dated June 19

The reason I say parallels with India, is because there is a twig/stick which is also used traditionally in India (primarily in the North) called "Datun" (Hindi). I am yet to get the English equivalent for it. It is a twig, medicinal in nature, which is used to chew and clean your teeth and mouth. It does not require a toothpaste or anything else. Hmmm..!! Old remedies certainly work in the modern era ! Aye what say?
